.44 Magnum
« Topic Start: March 01, 2008, 02:48:11 PM »
A Desert Eagle .44 Magnum. My friend's uncle has a little collection of weapons. It's a heavy handgun :D
Have not shot it, but that'll happen some time.

Made in Israel. The 'golden' parts are not real gold.

One Dollar bill for scale.

That is the baby version. Try the .50 AE. Now that is a Desert Eagle.

I think the 9mm is the baby version. I don't know, but I would think the .50 would be illegal.

You ever fire a .50 DE? Or held one?

I haven't handled the .50, but it doesn't use the same rounds as the rifle.  I'm not sure how long they are though, probably about the length of a .44 mag cartridge.

Haven't fired one. But I did get to handle on (with no ammo) at a gun show and it was a freaking brick. It doesn't use a .50 rifle round. I have seen video on youtube of someone firing one and it looked like the guy broke his wrists it was kicking so hard.

I like the video in which the deagle kicks back and hits that skinny chick in the nose. She thought she was all hardcore in her camo pants and bikini top.

the largest pistol round I first hand witnessed in action is the .454 Casull round...about the size of a AA battery

I am so tempted to talk about the physics behind recoil =(

One thing i will say though is that compared to the .50, the .44's recoil is baby shit.

Sigs, everytime I've ever shot one I get hammer bite.  1911's, that's where it's at for me.  Unfortunately I haven't been able to afford a decent one yet, just a banged up old milspec.
