I got an invite to this app. All you can do is chat with people and spend money.
It's kind of nice to be able to stalk people on the go, though

If you play steam based games a lot, have a huge friends list and you don't user xfire or anything, I guess this would be decent.

which is why i might try it out, however I don't ever feel the need to talk to people on my cell phone from Steam.

Also...probably only version one..? Steam is probably going to start streaming games at some point so in the future it could be a gaming interface.
