Chrome + HTML5
« Topic Start: July 27, 2011, 06:37:00 PM »
If you're running Chrome, you must check out this mighty impressive HTML5 tidbit.
They're obviously familiar with our tightly knit group.

I'd view 'FULL' for the whole show.
It's only like 2 mins long.

So, Ive decided to give Chrome a try today.

It seems faster than Firefox but that may simply be an illusion created by my expecting it to be faster.

Do you guys have any "can't live without" add-ons?  I've yet to add anything to it, but I really liked Dolph's list of Firefox/general computing favorites from a while back.

It is much faster. I switched this summer, as Chrome is blatantly superior now.

I consider these addons indispensable:

Smooth Gestures
Adblock Plus

I also use:

Facebook Notifications
Gmail Notifications

Happy ending indeed.
:)

Here's the 4 I use:
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/gighmmpiobklfepjocnamgkkbiglidom (I prefer this over Adblock Plus now)
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/kaianhnbhccdfhikdjdmgdkdpbfdeaij (Link underline remover - Should be an option by default)
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bdokagampppgbnjfdlkfpphniapiiifn (Youtube options - like stop auto play, select HD always, etc.)
https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oadboiipflhobonjjffjbfekfjcgkhco (Send stuff from Chrome to your phone - Only if you have an Android phone though)

Ya. I use both Adblock and adblock plus concurrently. hehe

I hadn't seen the Youtube options one before even though I was looking for something to fill that lack of customizability. Thanks for that.

Well, I have way too many installed. Some of which I dont even really use tbh.

But here we go:

Handy Google Shortcuts
Google Translate
Session Manager (I have a few tabs opened by default and somehow they disappear every once in a while, with this tool its easy to reopen them quickly)
WOT
Stylish (boy do I love that thing...)
AdBlock
goo.gl URL Shortener (one of those things I rarely use)
PhoneMarks (for the Android Phone, pretty usefull to have all ur bookmarks on the phone)
Springpad
Chrome to Phone
Android Market Link Converter (only usefull if u have an Android Phone of course)
Google Quick Scroll
Google Related (shows a little bar on the bottom with similar content)
Select to get Maps

So, been using Chrome for a couple of week snow and I only really have one gripe - and I'm guessing that I've broken something somehow and caused this behavior...

When using my mouse buttons for page "back", it sends me back two pages.

Anyone else?

Do you have the extension EZlinkpreview? From what I'm reading that may cause that bug. Otherwise try reinstalling? Haven't had it myself, but I've heard about it.

I'd try just reinstalling. It's some bug they were supposed to have fixed but guess they haven't.
