I did notice that you skirted the questions wondering why they refuse to accept buyout and move to a different location.  Or why they chose to build it in an area that already has two within 10 blocks of each other.

Because it would just be pure, uninformed speculation on my part as to why they didn't accept the buyout.  Maybe they actually believe they can make a difference and the money isn't worth it.  How would I know?  How is it relevant?  

According to the Imam in an interview with CNN, he wouldn't accept a sellout because then extremists in America win.  He's thinks it's unamerican to cave in to radical extremists who seek to impose their will over the law of the land and American ideals.  He also said that he is afraid that if he sells out, Muslims across the world would be furious and that would make things worse for America.  (his exact words were he feared that Muslims would "explode")  Foxnews then spent the better part of 3 days talking about how he was threatening America.

It is a community center. Only one floor of the proposed 13 floors would be devoted to worship. The rest is basically a YMCA but a YMMA instead.
