So anyone willing to do an indepth opinion of the beta??? Please. I need to know if I should update my dino PC to play this. Or just lame out and get it for my xbox360.

Not only is it a great game, but a new computer is always worth it. ESPECIALLY when you can get a kick ass machine for 500$!

Xbox is a horrible excuse, if you have the money to spend on entertainment definitely go with the PC.

I took a break for a while. Played a little yesterday, and had some fun. I get pretty into it....lotsa stuff going on..my blood pressure defenitely goes up a bit sometimes...especialy if I'm doing some covert stuff, or am up against a lot of enemies/threats.

It's chaos basically - and frankly, you have to be a douche in order not do die a million times and actually get some kills. Classic BF2.

yeah Im in the same boat swany,it sounds like a good game,I havent updated my video card since it went out,Im thinking im gonna have to thou,we are in the process of trying to move so monies kinda tight for now

Played a bit tonight. Had fun, but that one level gets dull quick. A common criticism i know.

I just restarted steam and got the update.
Gong to test now but everyone is posting huge performance increases.

I'm up 20-30fps overall with the new patch.

ok.I finally played a little of the beta.I stopped at my brothers house and played for a couple hours.I think its gonna be a fun game...but has it always been that...I dunno,laggy feel? He said its gotten better and now he really dosent notice it.He has a pretty high end machine,but I dunno,it feels laggy to me. I hope it gets better in the final product but  so close to the release date,Im not really sure.

Part of me feels that the game isn't as good as BF2.

With this one level it gets boring fast, when the full game is released it will be fun times.

Yeah that was my issue with it too. It's not that it's laggy, but the game doesn't feel smooth like MW2 for example. Movement isn't polished, you kind of bumble around, twitching as if you had Alzheimer's. I hope that's better in the final game, because it really turned me off the beta.

Im assuming they are also gonna have the traditional Battlefield "capture the flag/points" game mode as well,and the Rush mode is something new,like "Titan" mode in BF 2142..correct? As for it not being better then BF2.I havent played it enough to get that much of a feel for it. But it is chaos,with trees falling, explosions all over the place, tanks, Heli's. It should be a fun time getting into squads and RS raping a server till we get banned from it :)

yeah,thats it.twitching.If I had been running it on my computer I might have been half expecting it,but seeing that I played on my brothers,and knowing his is a high end machine---well,I have to think that the "movement" will get polished up in the final product,if it dosent get much better then what I saw,it might have a short shelf life. I can see alot of people getting turned off by it.
