I have never been to the Imax cinema... :yikes!:
People where telling me it was the only way to watch it.

Any truth to these:
 Seats rumble...
Short blasts of air when explosions occur..

Both of these rumors have been traced back to nerd flatulence.

They have seats like that @ R.L. Stine's Haunted Lighthouse @ Busch Gardens - Tampa.
I was there a couple years ago.

As for those who get headaches while watching 3d, sit as far back in the theater as possible...

Disneyworld 3-D FTW,

nothing beats Disney's 3-D, "A Bugs Life" inside the tree of life at the Animal kingdom is something you should not miss if you go. Theres a couple other ones as well, I think it was "Honey i shrunk the audience" at Epcot was pretty good as well
in closing.. Fuck them bitchezz

It was quite the experiance :)

Avatar in 3D was really good, I went with a bunch of my buddies that were passing around the vodka so I have no say in the headache discussion.

ok. I finally saw avatar

Its was definitely stunning visually and James Cameron has proven himself to be a true innovator with special effects and sound. I think there were a few points in the film where I got goose bumps just watching the flying sequences. But...havent we seen that story in a thousand other films before? I dont think it should win the Oscar for best film like it did the golden globe,I personally think "The Hurt locker" or "Up in the air" were better films, but if it does,I think it will because the people will vote for it because they can see how that movie is gonna change how Hollywood MAKES movies.(if that makes any sense) Nothing new there story wise, but still a great film to watch.you've gotta give it to cameron, what he lacks when it comes to originality,he makes up in sheer grandiosity.

so in conclusion..BUY Omega man

Fernando F. Croce of Cinepassion said it best "Alternates between a slurry of Franz Marc expressionism and the most elaborate Thundercats episode ever made"

Kind of hard to compare Avatar with The Hurt Locker.  Both were made for different reasons with wildly different budgets.  If "Best Movie" implies some sort of serious movie making, then I would go with The Hurt Locker.
