I don't care about what a bunch of wanna-bes say about a movie. They do not even use the universally accepted "balls of fury" rating system. I will wait until a reputable review comes out from shruewsreviews.

Lol, I'll have to have GenG dig up the old post.  At one point you vowed to never see a movie until Avatar came out because everything else was just cheap suck.

It was in the thread for the review of 300 i believe. I will dig it up now.

From the mention in the 300 review

"Now, I haven't seen The Avatar and it won't be out for a couple of years.  But, I'm sure they actually will make sets for that movie, instead of just using the computer.  And, I'm pretty sure the fight sequences will be better.  I don't know why people would go see 300 when The Avatar will be totally better!"

-shruew making fun of rom.

I will do more digging for the post you are making fun of.

That is the only mention i can find. I looked through all of rom's post from march 10 and earlier. It must have been something that happened on TS. I am sorry.

Yes, those forums hold a lot of great history. There is any way to retrieve them somehow is there? I doubt it severely but i just thought i'd ask.

Yeah, looks like I cleaned out the old php forums database tables.  I had no respect for history at the time and I apologize.

Ah, it is no problem. It is sad to know all of that history has been lost in a large nuclear attack on our forum databases, but we must move on.

lmao DIS - the resurrect-or of old posts...

but since your brought it up....

Avatar is still climbing in revenue....and James Cameron apparently couldn't get much funding/investments for this movie, so he put a lot of his own money in it = most of it cam RIGHT BACK to him. Glad it worked out for the guy.

I might go see it in IMAX. I've seen it just once....which seem to be almost as rare as not seeing it.

Anyone seen it in IMAX 3 D???????

Yeah I saw it in IMAX 3D and it gave me a headache.

Apparently it's quite common:
http://www.shadowlocked.com/index.php/component/content/article/41-feature/70-how-to-avoid-getting-a-3d-headache-while-watching-avatar

Basically if you refuse to focus specifically on what the director wants you to (whatever is being popped out) you end up with an epic headache. The visuals were great, the headache ruining the rest of my evening was not.
