Silent,being a lifelong wings fan,I hate to say it,BUT....I've seen this ALL before...first 2 games,whiped the opposing teams ass,next 2, get asses handed to them cause they cant score on a power play,win game 5 to give everyone hope...lose game 6,and ultimely game 7...I see this coming from a hundred miles away,I hope I'm wrong,but the detroit redwings are the Atlanta braves of Hockey....

The Wings are the braves? I think the Redwings have won 3 cups in last 7 or eight years.

Wings fans are fickle..trust me.
If you take a close look at the stands at Joe Louis,you'll see empty seats,a few years ago,that NEVER would have happened,last year when they got beat in the first round(again) after having the best regular season record,killed it for ALOT of hard core fans(myself included).

 wake me if they reach the finals.

 I know its a TERRIBLE way to be a fan ,you can call us what you want..fair weathered etc..but after years  and years of paying the highest ticket prices in the league,being told it was justified cause of the teams high payroll,I think I have a right to bitch if you cant beat the 8th seed in the conference. Thats what I ment when I compared them to the Braves..years of great play,only to have empty seats and Apathetic fans.

The Detroit Tigers have alot to do with it also,Detroit has always been a Baseball town,but with the Tigers being soooo bad for so many years,it changed to "Hockey Town"But with the resurgence of the boys of summer,its kinda raised the bar for the Wings.
