ArmA
« Topic Start: April 09, 2007, 12:40:43 AM »
Would be cool to have a "Games" section.

Armed Assault: Combat Operations (for US). Comes out May 1st.

Is anyone AT ALL interested in this? It's way more realistic than BF2 and 2142, but brings a whole other area to the table, and more things to see/do. If you shoot the back rotor of a chopper, it'll start spinning and such. You can shoot tires out and stuff.

Anyway, let me know if anyone will get it or not. I probably will. I'm just worried that I'll have ArmA, then a month later QW, and soon after Crysis. Game overload!@!@!@

They didn't have a main distributer, but Atari jumped in. It's made by the same people that made operation flash point, from which i hear was way ahead of its time.

ill get any game that supports alot of players. I dont plan on getting QW due to the fact the servers will be only 24 players.

I too like the 60 player slug fests.

I'll check out any game if it gets good reviews and people here are playing it.  Some of the incidental affects sound good in principle, but how often is seeing a helicopter spin out cool before it gets old?  I just want to kill stuff, not mame them in interesting ways.
STILL the worlds only two time Ranger Squad Fantasy Football Champion!

THORN! YOU THORN YOU! Meh, I have a feeling they can pull off a 12v12 better than you would think. However, if not, it'll be disappointing. I think they might loose a lot of costumers that think the same "more players = more fun". But I have a feeling these guys made it wild fun. But, we'll see.

I dunno. Unless a game is made by EA, gayspy will not rate it high. LOL jk...sorta.

Yeah, I might hold a bit. It's been out in Europe for a long time, seems pretty popular.

It's exciting because there are al kinds of helis, even harriers, and such. So if you're into all out warfare, that's realistic, you'll like.

Operation Flashpoint was an incredible game! That was a serious time waster for me. Spent countless weekends playing mods and new missions. Best part about this game was the size of the maps. HUGE!!!! As in miles huge. Full of towns and farms. Awesome stuff. As far as I know, some of the old guys from STAT still play it.

If this new Armed Assault is any good, I would pick it up.

If you liked OFP, you should like this. Just today people were saying it's similar to OFP, but way better.

Here's a cool vid:http://www.totalarmedassault.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10202
Amazing graphics.

Also, there's a new Demo. Just go to home page on the link above. Let me know if anyone wants to play.

Just so you don't get angry, remember this is realistic. I gotta tell ya....I felt my heart rushing like crazy quite a few times. That happens in BF2142 only when it's super intense.
